Go to Admin > Settings > Ingredient Settings > Edit an Ingredient Type > Measurements
Then Edit any Ingredient Type and click on “Measurement”
Default Measurement Type
When you create your Ingredient Type, you specify the default ingredient type. This cannot be changed.
Measurement Types for the Ingredient Type
The measurement sections lists all the measurement types available for the ingredient type. An example may be you want to allow a user to build a custom formula in both ml and oz. You can add both measurement types as an option.
You need at least one measurement type and it will be your default listed above.
Measurement Conversions
You may need to convert one measurement type to another, specifically when fulfilling a formula. You may allow a user to build a formula in fluid ounces, but you keep track of your inventory in ml. To accomplish this, we require a conversion. If there are no conversions showing in the Ingredient Type settings, the system will use the Global Conversions instead. This means it is not mandatory to have a conversion here if the global settings can be used.
